The Théâtre de la Rue is a professional cultural organization that brings together cultural people from all walks of life concerned about the development of the sector. Based in Dakar, the Théâtre de la Rue carries out activities throughout the country, Africa and the rest of the world. The Théâtre de la Rue works in creation, training, dissemination, supervision and management. Supported by a dynamic team, the organization brings together administrators and other people recognized in the Senegalese cultural community and often even from abroad.
The Théâtre de la Rue is active on several projects:
- Revival of the Senegalese Coalition for Cultural Diversity
- Revitalization of the Mutual Health Insurance for Cultural Actors
- Discussions on the status of the artist
- Activity of the Senegalese Centre of the International Theatre Institute (ITI)
- Outreach of the National Union of Cultural Workers
