KLYS is a Swedish NGO for cooperation and coordination on the status of the artist, which includes all artistic sectors. It defends its common positions with the Swedish government and parliament as well as with politicians at international, regional and local level.
Main challenges of the organization:
Improve the economic and social status of artistic and literary professionals in terms of copyright, cultural policies, freedom of expression/artistic freedom, social security, taxation, cultural diversity, etc.
Organizational priorities:
- Improve copyright at European and national level,
- Improve the social security situation for freelance artists and creators,
- Strengthen economic support for artists at the national, regional and local levels.
